Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell is one of a trio of cats adopted from a property in Orland, California, in February 2015. In fact, Tink was my first choice to adopt and it was only by accident that I ended up with her friends Tippy and Perdita (key players in The Long Tale of Mr. Tippy).

Tink is an unflappable cat, pretty much the essence of the “me first” feline stereotype. Our friend Lise insisted that Tinkerbell was a Japanese Bobtail. She certainly looks the part. But DNA testing has revealed that her stubby tail is associated with her Manx genes.

March 9, 2015—Just discovered that the new cat, Tink, sleeps sitting up. While this is not common, it’s not unheard of. Many kittens do it, and some cats don’t grow out of it. Tink does, however, lean one side against a wall when she dozes off on top of the bookcase. After a while, she slides down the wall and sleeps like a normal cat.

April 1, 2020—Two Tinks

Feb. 22, 2022—Tinkerbell is her usual charming self. After avoiding the downstairs TV room for many years (see The Long Tale of Mr. Tippy), she now goes down with Zoe and they watch anime with Tom.

April 10, 2022—Yes, dinner was late tonight. Sorry, Tink.
